It might have been a rainy day, but the love between Ashleigh and Chris was shining bright! Wachesaw Weddings are the best!!!
This sweet couple married at Wachesaw Plantation Club, located in Murrells Inlet, South Carolina. They exchanged vows overlooking the Waccamaw River. Also, With the soggy weekend weather forecast, EventWorks jumped into action and set up a stunning, fabric draped, tent to keep guests dry during the ceremony.
The bride dreamed of an outdoor ceremony under the live oaks and EventWorks made her dream a reality despite the uncooperative weather. All in all, Ashleigh wasn’t going to let the rain dampen her mood on such a joyful occasion! This fun-loving bride spontaneously decided to walk down the aisle in rain boots! …And just as Chris and Ashleigh also said “I do”, the clouds parted, and a vibrant orange sunset became the backdrop to their outdoor wedding ceremony.

It’s a coincidence that Ashleigh and Chris were married on the same day as the Duke and Duchess of Sussex {formally known as Prince Harry and Meghan Markle}. The wedding date was planned well in advance of Kensington Palace’s announcement! What isn’t a coincidence are the expertly executed details by Stunning and Brilliant Events.
The tone of this regal affair was set by the custom invitations designed and pressed by Charlotte + Lily. Ashleigh and Chris selected letterpress invitations with pops of gold foil. The studio created the Kinon family crest that was used not only on the invitation. But also used on details throughout the wedding ceremony and reception. The invitations were pressed on Charlotte + Lily’s antique Heidelberg. Bree Moore Calligraphy addressed each guest envelope. The cherry on top to this stunning invitation suite was the gold wax seal hand stamped by Charlotte + Lily’s production team. Each piece was lovingly handcrafted with so much care and attention to detail. When the invitations arrived in guest’s mailboxes, they knew this was the wedding of the year!

From the Bride about their love story:
It was my first day of high school and I had gone all day and not meant anyone. We had honors geometry together and It was the last class of the day. Our teacher told us to do the problems together with a partner and He comes up to me to ask if we could be partners. I said sure! Wachesaw Weddings.
After that he always wanted to be partners to copy my answers because they were usually right lol. So then spring semester comes around and we have honors physical science together. I said, “Lord please let us not be lab partners because he will make me do all the work again.” Hahah. Our teacher says, “I’m going to assign your lab partner in alphabetical order.” Would you believe there was no one between letters F through K? Sure enough we were lab partners. I looked at him and said, “you’re going to help me this semester.” Haha.
