With a little help from Facebook, Laura and Tommy reconnected after 20 years…and their connection was still undeniable! Reserve Harbor Yacht Club
This beautiful couple exchanged vows under the Spanish Moss covered Oak Trees at Reserve Harbor Yacht Club, located in Pawleys Island, South Carolina. Laura and Tommy were surrounded by loved ones in an intimate religious ceremony. The Flower Girl, 4 year old Olivia, was so excited to be part of the wedding, and so was I! The ceremony was followed by an outdoor poolside reception. It was only fitting their first dance was to “At Last” by Etta James. When the groom’s teenage son, Jacob, gave a heartfelt speech about the love and happiness between his dad and Laura, there wasn’t a dry eye. It was such a special {and sweet} moment.

Weddings at The Reserve Harbor Yacht Club
I was about 17 and he was 21. We hung out a few times and went our separate ways as God knew it wasn’t the right timing. Fast forward 20 years and he saw my profile on Facebook. He sent me a message saying he remembered me, but couldn’t remember where we met. I knew exactly who he was! We met for a drink and it was instant chemistry! About a year and half later he proposed on Christmas Eve right after the evening church service with my parents and his son there. He said, “let’s take a picture in front of the cross”. So as we waited in line for our turn, I said, “let’s go, this is taking forever.” (Patience is not my best attribute, Lol!) He said “just wait, it will be worth it.” And it was!
