Okay y’all!! I still can’t get over this day! Sarah and Michael’s wedding at Middleton Place in Charleston, South Carolina, was everything and more. If you’re looking for a wedding location that blends Southern charm, lush gardens, heartfelt memories, and sheep… yes, sheep! You’re gonna love this one!
Sarah and Michael have been together for five years (engaged on March 17, 2023, yes, St. Patrick’s Day! Party!), and after two years of planning, they finally got to have the wedding they’d always dreamed of. And well… was it worth the wait!!
From the moment we arrived at Middleton Place, I was obsessed. Every corner of this venue is literally picture-perfect. Charleston weddings are always stunning, but Middleton Place? It’s on another level!!
But let’s talk about Sarah and Michael, because they’re simply AMAZING. These two are so in love, and they’re surrounded by a close-knit group of family and friends who LOVE them. Even though they don’t have a HUGE family, you could feel the connection and LOVE from EVERY single guest.
Before the ceremony, Sarah and Michael did a private first look overlooking the butterfly lakes, like stunning!! It was quiet and emotional. They shared their vows with just each other, and duh, there were tears. It was such a beautiful moment to witness and capture!
Their ceremony took place in the gardens, and the pictures speak for themselves. The light, the greenery, the love, it is a photographer’s dream. And just when I thought it couldn’t get better… they pulled off a surprise outfit change during the reception and looked FLAWLESS!!
The weather was perfect, the details were beautiful, and the wedding planner and venue staff was absolutely incredible!! Everything flowed so smoothly. It was the kind of day that reminds me why I love being a Charleston wedding photographer! There’s just something so timeless and romantic about weddings here. And we can’t forget the band!! Amazing!!
Middleton Place
Sarah wore two wedding bands on the big day, one to celebrate their marriage, and one to honor five years together. How sweet is that?!! Michael totally nailed that surprise!
This wedding had everything: emotion, elegance, joy, laughter, sheep (yes, really)!!!!, and the most gorgeous light ever. I’m so grateful I got to be part of it!!!! I hope you all are having a blast in FRANCE and love these photos as much as me!!
