The ceremony took place at the iconic Pawleys Island Chapel. One of the most charming wedding locations along the South Carolina coast. (Seriously! Check it out!!) Sitting right on the marsh, the chapel is known for its beautiful views and intimate atmosphere. It one of the most sought-after ceremony locations for couples getting married in Pawleys Island. What made this wedding even more special is the story behind how they chose their venue….
The couple shared that they happened to drive by the chapel one day. (years ago!) And instantly fell in love with it. The moment they saw the little church sitting peacefully on the marsh, they knew that was where they wanted to say “I do.” And honestly, I completely understand why… They are so cute!
The weather was absolutely perfect for their wedding day. Blue skies, beautiful sunshine, and that soft coastal breeze that Pawleys Island is known for.
After the ceremony, everyone made their way to The Pelican Inn for the reception. This historic inn is such a beautiful and unique venue for a Pelican Inn wedding. Classic Lowcountry charm, wraparound porches, marsh views, and old oak trees that create the most romantic backdrop for wedding portraits. (The Pelican Inn)
One of my favorite parts of the night was seeing their emotional first look. And all of their friends and family who traveled from New York to celebrate with them! It was so fun! The entire day was just so much fun.
They even had a cannoli lady (Lowcountry Cannoli) come in for dessert. Such a huge hit with guests and such a fun personal touch. And yummy!!
And of course, the food from Philomena’s Catering (like always!!) was absolutely incredible, and every detail of the evening came together so beautifully.
