Kaitlin & Josh Lyles Wedding | The Island House, John’s Island SC

Kaitlin and Josh Lyles got married at The Island House in Johns Island South Carolina

This pristine view of the Stono River is just minutes from Charleston, SC. The Island House sits on a private island on the bank of the river, and it’s amazing!!

The couples theme was “warm and welcoming” February colors. The main color was burgundy with rose gold accents. The bridesmaids dresses were Charcoal so the bouquets would “pop”! The outdoor venue (not to mention the beautiful weather in February!!) added so much natural colors and brightness!! The tables were covered with burgundy linens, and rose gold sequin runners. The flowers were blush roses, burgundy Mums and Disbuds, Lisanthuis & Eucalyptus. The tent liner was an elegant touch that helped radiate & illuminate all the details! Oh and the band was AHHHHHHHMAZing!!!!!!

The newly wed’s met in college. Josh went to the University of South Carolina and Kaitlin attended Coastal Carolina University. The couple had a lot of mutual friends and would see each other tailgating in Columbia!  They had never “officially” met, but they just knew of each other for many years…. Josh would see Kaitlin out a lot and would tell his friends “there’s Kaitlin Swezy, I’m going to talk to her tonight” but always chickened out….Kaitlin moved away for a job in KY for 3 years and they reconnected 11/14/15 and were finally both single at a USC/FL game and it was the beginning of forever!

Words from the bride “I love him so much because he has been committed since day 1, and has never left me feeling confused about our relationship; he’s gentle, compassionate, & the most kindhearted person I’ve ever met. Definitely the husband that every girl dreams of 😄”
