Frank and Catie met about five years ago at work. Frank was very shy…and well… Catie, she most certainly is not! Catie attempted to set up Frank with her best friend who was the same age as him. To Catie’s surprise he said “I want you” and then ran away. {HAHAHAHA} The couple is very happy the way things worked out! Fun fact: the best friend was the Matron of Honor at their wedding, and she has the most beautiful little family of her own! Catie waited 32 years to marry the love of her life, and every single day was worth the wait.

The couple got engaged May 5, 2017 on Frank’s graduation day from CCU. They were surrounded by friends and family on the shores of the Carolina’s! “It was perfect”, Catie added. The two picked Pine Lakes Country Club for their wedding because they felt the style of the venue expresed who they were as individuals.  Frank is a golf pro, so the golf course on site was a nod to the groom. Catie loved the homey, antique, and personal feel the venue gave her. The moment they walked through the door of Pine Lakes, they knew it was the place for them! It was everything they dreamed of for their big day!

With the dream of an outdoor wedding, the couple selected April 6, 2018 for their wedding day. It was a gamble with the weather. They really hoped for a gorgeous day, and boy did they get it! The weather was Aaaaa-mazing…70 degrees, warm and sunny!

A few words from the bride 🙂

“We had the BEST wedding day ever! The feel of our wedding was rustic with colored accents of lavender, deep purple, mint and teal. We used lots of greenery and baby’s breath and had tons of handmade signs and decor to make it feel more personable. There were pictures of us throughout the venue to give the guests a bit of insight into our relationship. I, of course, had to throw a few touches of peacock inspired decor since I have a slight obsession with them! I couldn’t be happier with how the day went!!

We had the best time ever!! We couldn’t have picked better vendors, from the interactive dj’s, to the incredible cake and of course our wonderful photographers. Each and every one of them was the perfect puzzle piece to complete our day. We are eternally grateful to all of them and to our family and friends that made the trip to share in our happiness.”
