Weddings at Florence Country Club – The couple’s first look was such a special moment. I never had to tell them to smile because they seriously laughed and smiled the entire time! They danced as husband and wife to R&B throwback song,“I Wanna Be Your Man” by Zapp and Roger. It was so sweet to see the immense love and friendship between them!

Taylor and Shaun tied the knot at the historic Florence Country Club, founded in 1924. The ceremony and reception was inside the beautiful clubhouse, overlooking the 18-hole golf course. {thank goodness for the air conditioning because it was such a hot day!}. It was the perfect venue for these lovebirds because it was close to home and it fit their wedding style {they didn’t want a rustic wedding}.

The floral was stunning and paired perfectly with their soft pink and gold wedding colors. The flowers Taylor and Shaun selected were expert arranged by A&B Florist. At the end of the reception, the new Mr. and Mrs. Shawn Thompson, had a rose petal exit. It was the perfect way to start the next chapter of their love story!

A few years ago, Shaun and I went to Carowinds in NC. When we left the park, it was pretty late, so we decided to get food on the way home. At that time, McDonalds was having their Monopoly game going on, and I just had to stop there to get more monopoly game pieces. Shaun did not want to go to McDonalds, but because he’s so sweet he took me anyways. We went through the drive through line, and for some reason I put my foot on the dashboard of his car. I ended up hitting the windshield with my foot, and it cracked, right there in the McDonalds drive through line that Shaun didn’t even want to be in. Then i panicked and started apologizing, but when I look at him, he just started laughing. I knew Shaun was the one, because in that moment he was so calm. He never got mad about the situation, and now we just have a funny story to tell. I’ve also never played McDonalds Monopoly again!

I fell in love with Shaun because after spending so much time with him, I got to know his personality. He’s sweet, calm, caring, and loves to laugh. He would do anything to help his friends and family.
