Alex & Rebecca’s Spring Wedding | Peanut Warehouse, Conway SC

When Rebecca contacted me and mentioned she was the fiance of my childhood friend, Alex, I was sooooo excited! What a blast from the past!!!!! Alex and I grew up on the Cape together. We were in class together from the time we were babies through grade school. His mom was even my tutor! It was such an honor to be asked to document one of their most important days… from Cape Cod to Myrtle Beach! Side note, Rebecca is from England so I LOVE listening to her talk!!!! Alex & Rebecca’s families both traveled for this wedding making it extra special.. everyone danced, laughed and cried the night away!!

The couple’s wedding ceremony and reception was at the Peanut Warehouse in Conway, South Carolina. The raw wood beams were the perfect backdrop for Rebecca and Alex’s rustic style. In contrast with the rich, worn, warehouse, Rebecca selected delicate, cascading florals. The soft yellows and blue colors were the perfect touch of Spring for their April wedding.

From the Bride :

Alex and I met when we were both living in Richmond, Virginia. Our first date was Wednesday Feb 11, 2015 (it is in my notes folder on my phone lol). We met at a bar/restaurant in the city that Alex had been to a couple times and told me they had this great burger that I had to try. Our first date lasted 4/5hours, longest first date I’ve ever been on. We spent the whole time, drinking and talking non stop. I thought he was super cute, and even text him at the end of the night once I was home that I had wanted to smooch his face lol! Way to play it cool. Alex worked out of town on the weekends so we didn’t have our second date until the week after, I also believe this was his attempt at trying to play it cool and not show that he was smitten from the first date…and for a few weeks we’d only meet on Wednesdays. We had only been dating a few months when Alex was asked if he would like to apply for a position that was open at Coastal Carolina University which he had attended and worked at upon graduation. He attended the interview and no surprise was offered the position, I knew he would get it. He told me they had offered itand I said without hesitation that I would move with him. I had to stay in Richmond Virginia until I received my green card, so we did long distance for 7 months with us both making many trips up and down I95 to see each other, and in December 2015 I moved to Conway SC.

Loving Alex is easy, our life together is easy. We fit together perfectly. Alex makes me happy everyday, he has never upset me or hurt me. He is incredibly funny, caring and sensitive. He is very career driven, a perfectionist in everything he does, which are all the things I value in myself too. I believe we are a true reflection of each other. I am so excited and happy to be spending the rest of my life with him. Everyone would be lucky to find and have someone like Alex in their life and thankfully I did!
