Nestled in the heart of Pawleys Island, this plantation-style venue is everything you’d dream of for a southern wedding… live oaks covered in Spanish moss, golden light, and that classic, old-south elegance that just feels like home. Every single corner was a photo waiting to happen — and this wedding? I’m obsessed!!!!!
From Tinder to “I Do”
Candace and HD’s story still makes me smile every time I think about it. They actually met on Tinder (yes, really!) and from their very first date, HD told her she was his dream girl. I mean… how sweet is that!!!? From that moment on, they were inseparable — and everyone around them could see it.
They chose Belin United Methodist Church in Murrells Inlet, SC for their ceremony, right on the MarshWalk, and it could not have been more perfect. HD’s cousin — who’s a pastor — married them, which made it even more special!! He was so sweet and his stories were fun!! Good job, Pastor!

I’ve been lucky enough to photograph these two through every part of their wedding journey… Best friends’ weddings, their engagement session, Candace’s bridal portraits, rehearsal dinner, and now their wedding day!!!! By the time the big day rolled around, I truly felt like part of the family… and honestly, that’s what I love most about what I do!! I love you all!!! <3!!
The Heritage Club was pure Southern elegance… the oak trees, the white columns, the breeze coming off the golf course…. everything about it was effortless and classic. Just like Candace and HD!!

And let me tell you… this vendor team CRUSHED it!! Everything flowed so perfectly thanks to Marnie Kennedy, who kept the day running smooth as butter….
Candace looked absolutely flawless (I mean, look at her!!) thanks to Bella Haynes and Kimberly Knowlton — seriously, she could roll out of bed and still look like this, but her hair and makeup were next level.
Joyful Entertainment had everyone on their feet all night, and Holly’s Bakes & Cakes — WOW. That cake was not only stunning but sooo good.
Ellen Davis Creative designed the most gorgeous invitations, MC Lighting & Design made the tent glow like a fairytale, and Event Rentals pulled the whole setup together perfectly.
Candace’s dress was a total showstopper — an Anne Barge gown from White on Daniel Island — and that veil?! Obsessed.
To top it all off, Haigan, the live painter, captured the day beautifully, and Carolina Limo made sure everyone got to celebrate in style.
With nine groomsmen and ten bridesmaids, it was a full crew, but every single person was amazing — so kind, helpful, and full of joy.

The Perfect Day 🌿
The weather could not have been better. It rained every day that week except for her wedding day. I mean… come on, that’s fate!
From the nervous giggles before the ceremony to the wild dance floor at the end of the night, every second was filled with laughter, love, and those sweet little moments that make weddings so special. Candace’s glow, HD’s grin when he saw her walk down the aisle, the happy tears, the cheers, the hugs — it was perfect!!!
