Y’all!!! I’m seriously missing Warm Summer Days in Myrtle Beach!! – RIGHT NOW! As a Myrtle Beach family photographer, winter has me totally wishing I was back out there on the beach with all those beautiful families – instead of being stuck inside trying to stay warm. I mean, this is NOT why I moved to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina! 😅
Summer is always such a BLURRR for me with Myrtle Beach photography sessions back-to-back – but I am so grateful for everything and everyone!! There’s just something so special about being out there every day, meeting amazing families, and creating the most gorgeous beach photos! Being a photographer in Myrtle Beach during summer is literally my dream come true!
I was just looking through this STUNNING family session from Huntington State Park from this past summer, and oh my goodness, it’s making me miss those Warm Summer Days in Myrtle Beach!! The way the evening light was hitting just perfectly (hello, golden hour magic!), and this FUN family was just having the best time!! – these are the moments that make me absolutely love my job!

OKAY – let me share a little secret with y’all!! Want to know how to get those AMAZING genuine smiles and totally candid moments?! Don’t be shy – get IN that water!! Some of my absolute FAVORITE shots happen when families just let loose and have FUN splashing in the waves! And hey, bring some props too!! A favorite beach toy, a pretty blanket, or even some bubbles can add such a fun variety to your photos! Trust me, when the kids are having a blast, those real, joy-filled smiles just come naturally!! 🌊✨
You all know how much I adore my light and airy photography style, and these photos show exactly why! I love everything dreamy, soft, and candid. It perfectly captures that hot, humid, beautiful summer feeling that we all love about beach days in Myrtle Beach! When I edit photos in my signature light and airy style, it’s like bottling up pure sunshine and joy – and who doesn’t need more of that?!
I know I totally sound like I’m complaining about the cold (okay, maybe I am a little! 🥶), but scrolling through these beautiful photos is definitely helping me get through these chilly winter days….. Just look at how gorgeous this family looks against that perfect beach backdrop!!

And can we talk about how stunning the location, Huntington State Park, is for family photos in Myrtle Beach?! It’s seriously one of my favorite spots for family sessions. Beautiful beaches, a variety of perfect light, and endless, quiet beaches – it’s absolutely magical every single time! Even with the wind, rain and storms, there are several spots to block that strong wind, along with hiding from the rain!
