Myrtle Beach has so many beautiful spots, but I wanted to share my go-to favorite beaches to photograph along the Grand Strand! These locations are easy to access, have fewer crowds, and offer the most stunning backdrops.
If there’s a fee to enter the park, don’t worry! I’ll be in touch a few days before your session with directions and all the details for accessing the park. The best part? The entry fee for one carload of people is on me! I want you to relax and enjoy your session at one of our beautiful state parks without any hassle.

Located in North Myrtle Beach, Apache Pier is a unique spot, set within a campground. While parking can be a bit tricky, it’s well worth the short walk to get there. This pier is one of my favorites because the light here is simply amazing, creating a magical atmosphere for your photos. If you're up for a little adventure, I’d be thrilled to take you there and capture some beautiful moments!
The Point at Cherry Grove is North Myrtle Beach’s best-kept secret! With stunning dunes, scenic paths, and a peaceful, quiet beach, it’s the perfect spot for capturing breathtaking photos. Whether it’s a family session or just taking in the view, you really can’t go wrong here!
Garden City Pier is an excellent choice for family photos! Its expansive beach, gentle waves, and picturesque pier create a stunning coastal backdrop. If you’re choosing between Surfside Pier and Garden City Pier for your beach photoshoot, here's a quick guide. Surfside Pier is easily accessible and just a few minutes away from Garden City Pier. However, I’d recommend the Garden City Pier. While Surfside Pier was recently rebuilt and is more sturdy, it’s not as visually appealing as it used to be.
On the other hand, Surfside Pier offers some benefits, like providing shade and wind protection. Plus, it's conveniently close to ice cream shops and dining options, making it easy to turn your photoshoot into a fun day out!
The Point in Pawleys Island offers stunning views of salt marshes and tidal creeks. With its wide-open spaces and serene atmosphere, it’s a picturesque location perfect for capturing beautiful and tranquil photos!
Wear Comfortable Clothing: Choose outfits that complement the beach environment—soft colors, light fabrics, and something you feel great in!
Embrace the Wind: Beach sessions often come with a breeze, so don’t worry about perfect hair! A little wind adds movement and life to the photos!
Relax and Be Yourself: Some of the best shots come when you’re relaxed, having fun, and in the moment.
Plan for the Best Light: Early morning or late afternoon offers the softest, most flattering light for beach photos.
Stay Hydrated: Bring water, especially if it’s a hot day, to keep everyone comfortable.
